Apple to Launch the iPhone Apps Store July 10
posted Jul 9, 2008, 8:07 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Forbes is reporting that Apple plans to launch the iPhone Apps Store beginning at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT on Thursday, July 10. The news was later confirmed by MocoNews. A source familiar with Apple's plans said that the company decided to launch the Apps Store when the iPhone becomes available in foreign markets in earlier time zones, the first of which will be in Australia. Apple did not say, however, if firmware version 2.0 will become available to original iPhone owners at the same time, which would allow them to access the store when it opens.
