Increasingly, musicians are trying to sell their songs via ringtones. With CD sales declining music industry needs phone carriers more than ever.
Even artists are using this route is British pop singer Natasha Beddingfield. She has signed up for Verizon VIP tour, following footsteps of Fergie who did same thing last year.
According to Jesse Jensema, supervising producer for the Verizon Mobile Recording Studio, music industry teaming up with phone carriers is a revolutionary way to bring music back to the world as this (music) industry is going downhill.
Verizon has said that mobile data has accounted for more than 20 percent of its total wireless revenue, an indication that mobile market is maturing
