Verizon Wireless today announced RemoSync, an application offering a direct push email solution. Developed by Remoba, RemoSync lets consumers who use Microsoft Exchange Servers manage their email, calendar and contacts in real-time on their phones. Direct Push Technology automatically displays email when the application is launched.

Previously, if customers wanted access to their corporate email, they needed to have a smartphone like a Palm, Windows Mobile or BlackBerry device. RemoSync can be used with ordinary phones.

"The addition of RemoSync gives our business customers the added features of a business device on the phones they carry with them every day," said Andrea Caldini, Executive Director of Verizon Wireless. "We expect the average customer to use between one and two megabytes of data per month, making RemoSync an affordable solution for businesses."

To use RemoSync, users need either access to a Microsoft Exchange Server or need to be using Verizon Wireless' Hosted Exchange solution. RemoSync is available for $9.99 monthly access.
