8GB iPhone Reaches End of Life?

O2 and Carphone Warehouse seem to have run out of 8GB iPhones, and both of them won't be getting any replenishments from Apple. What do you think this means? Most people would probably point out and say that the 3G iPhone is all but inevitable, which is why the 8GB version won't be restocked. What's your take on it? In all probability, it will be released sometime in the middle of the year, which means you don't have that much longer to wait. I say take the waiting route - after all, patience is a virtue and you wouldn't want to have your brand new cell phone get outdated so fast, hmm?
