HTC Raphael & Diamond Headed for Sprint
Posted on Apr 23, 08 06:17 AM PDT

HTC's upcoming Raphael and Diamond smartphones will be released under the Sprint banner in the near future, where the latter is the successor to the HTC Touch. It will feature a large touch screen display just like the Touch for navigation, control and input purposes. As for the Raphael, you get a full QWERTY keyboard as this handsets primes itself to replace the HTC Mogul. Both devices will feature WiFi connectivity, a 3 megapixel camera and VGA displays. Raphael will be released first this September, followed by the Diamond in November. I wonder whether there will be GSM versions headed our way...

No one knows what the price will be. I personally am expecting the buy price to be $350 for the HTC Touch Pro.

LOOKS really nice and SOUNDS really nice, but then so did the Sprint Mogul. That's what I have now, and I like it. It has a lot of features, but certainly falls short given the technology out right now. I can see that they are moving ahead with the Sprint Raphael, but I too heard that the battery life is terrible. I hope that rumor is squashed, because that would be a shame.
However, because I'm a big ol' nerd, I'll be picking this one up ASAP. It certainly rivals all phones when it comes to style.
Question: I see that it says that the Raphael will depend on a Touch interface, but will there be a stylus of any kind. I'm guessing that's a 'no', but I figured I would at least ask...

Will this phone be Sprint's new "iphone killer"? I hope it does a better job than the Samsuck Extinct.

The HTC Rapheal is a very smart choice to replace the htc mogul come this september. I am looking forward to working with and blogging about it in the fall. Way to go HTC development team.. I am quick to tell everbody sprint works hard to deliver outstanding products and furious services.
