Vibrating Braille Cell Phone
Apr 8, 08 09:23 AM PDT

An ex-teacher at a school for the blind and a professor from Tsukuba University of Technology have worked together to create a cell phone which sends out vibrations that represent Braille symbols. This handset is meant to help those with hearing as well as sight difficulties to communicate with one another more effectively. Touted to be the first of its kind in the world, all you need to do is push the keypad numbers that correspond to Braille symbols, where a pair of terminals attached to the receiver's phone will vibrate at a specific rate in order to recreate the message. With all the vibration going on, hopefully you have a cell phone charger nearby.
