Google Gunning for White Spaces

Today Google filed comments with the FCC that declare its desire to use 'white space' spectrum for mobile broadband services. White spaces are the unused areas of spectrum that are located in between analog television channels. Google said it is working to develop technology so that its service won't interfere with the adjoining spectrum. The FCC has been testing the white spaces on its own to determine if they can be used effectively. Google did not elaborate further on exactly what its mobile broadband services would entail.
