Emirates allows Inflight Cell Phone Calls

Emirates claims to be the first airline in the world to allow passengers to make authorized cell phone calls while in the air, with the Airbus A340 heading towards Casablanca from Dubai being the benefactor of such an honor. Passengers are allowed to make and receive not only phone calls but text messages the moment the aircraft touched the crucial cruising altitude. Emirates is thinking to retrofit other aircraft in their fleet with the interference-blocking AeroMobile system later this year , including adding BlackBerry and "other data services." I wonder how the roaming charges will work then.
