MOTORIZR Z6tv Reviews

Laptopmag reviews the MOTORIZR Z6tv and writes, "One thing we like about Motorola's interface design on past RIZR phones is its economy in keypad designation. The Z6tv is no exception. Access to the camera now shares button real estate with Mobile TV on the left side of the sliding face. Tap once quickly to access the program guide, or hold it down for a second to snap pictures or record video with the two-megapixel camera. The Z6tv also has the ability to take and view photographs and videos in portrait or landscape mode-a nice touch that, combined with the very good image quality of the camera, makes picture-taking with the Z6tv superior to many other midrange camera phones (with the exception of the Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman)."

CNET reviews the MOTORIZER Z6tv and writes, "The 2-megapixel camera lets you take pictures in portrait or landscape modes. It also includes an 8x zoom, self-timer, brightness and white balance settings, four color effects, and a selection of fun frames to dress up your pictures. Unlike the Rizr Z3, the Z6tv's camera doesn't include a flash, which is a feature we expect on a 2-megapixel camera phone. Like the Z3, the picture quality was disappointing, resulting in blurry images with flat colors. The Z6tv comes with about 56MB of onboard memory, but you can add up to 2GB of extra storage with a microSD card. The Z6tv also shoots video in two resolutions and it comes with a set of editing options similar to the still camera."

PC Mag reviews the MOTORIZR Z6tv and writes, "Taking pictures is the usual so-so camera-phone experience. It's quick to shoot, but the pictures themselves are relatively low-res for a 2-megapixel camera (at only 700 lines of resolution), with reddish, highly saturated colors. I saw some serious fringing and color noise on outdoor shots, with the pictures' darker areas underexposed; on low-light shots color noise was a problem again, with bright areas overexposed. The video mode shoots relatively acceptable 320-by-240 videos at 14 frames per second. It's easy to get photos off your phone by using either a memory card or Bluetooth."

MobileTechReview has a review of the MOTORIZR Z6tv and writes, "The MOTORIZR Z6tv has a built-in 2 megapixel camera with fixed-focus lens that takes good quality still images. You can launch the camera with a shared menu button on the front of the phone. The camera launcher button shares duty with Mobile TV. You will need to press and hold the button until it beeps to launch the camera. The camera phone can take photos in 5 resolutions: 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480, 320 x 240 and Picture ID. The quality of the photos is comparable to if not better than other camera phones with a 2 megapixel camera. The images are reasonably sharp with some over-sharpening and colors are more balanced than photos taken with the Sony Ericsson W580i. Outdoor shots are bright, color saturated and balanced. You will see some white-out effects on objects in direct sunlight. Indoor shots have good color balance as well, and the noise level is low even in shots taken in low-light environments. The camera application on the MOTORIZR Z6tv has the usual set of effects, balance/color settings, fun frames and more. You can store the photos in phone’s internal memory or on a microSD card."
